JOB DESCRIPTION
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate and promote the Academy culture creating an elite environment for the development of young players.
To support the academy performance analysts in their day-to-day duties to ensure the highest standards of work are met.
To ensure a consistency of analysis though out all levels of the club.
Communicate and engage with parents/guardians where appropriate.
Attend all professional development events.
To attend meetings, conferences and other associated events as directed by the Performance Analysis Department.
Any other duties as defined from time to time in conjunction with the Performance Analysis Department.
Actively engage in a fully functioning competency framework and integrated appraisal process.
Always monitor the wellbeing of Academy players, liaising with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Ensure compliance with all the Policies and Procedures contained within the Staff Handbook, always paying regard to the Equal Opportunities Policy and Health & Safety Policy and procedures.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Lead Academy Performance Analyst to meet the objectives of the Performance Analysis & Data department.
Oversee the analysis processes for the U9-U14 age groups.
Create and deliver analysis sessions for the U12-U14 age groups. This includes group and individual sessions.
Creation, uploading and presenting of learning activation videos in relation to the coaching curriculum.
Provide coaches with content to create learning review videos and upload them to online platforms (U12, U13/14).
Live recording and coding of academy fixtures. Recording of training sessions where necessary.
Analyse, review and evaluate fixtures to produce statistical data as detailed in the Academy Performance Plan.
Evaluation of game data and creation of key information on observed trends to coaching staff as required.
Aiding in coach development through the Coach Analysis process, involves filming a specific coaching session and providing objective feedback to the coach.
Help to mentor and manage work placement students within the academy analysis department.
Help to maintain best practice libraries for both team and individuals.
Performing other tasks assigned to the performance analysis & data team where necessary.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
FA Safeguarding Children certificate.
FA First Aid in Sport certificate.
2:1 undergraduate degree in relevant discipline.
Masters degree in relevant discipline.
Desirable Requirements
UEFA C coaching license.
Valid Driving Licence.
Experience
Essential Requirements
Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an academy setting.
Desirable Requirements
Previous coaching or teaching experience.
Data analysis experience with collecting and managing databases.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential Requirements
Computer literacy.
Video editing.
Data software packages.
Written and oral skills.
Desirable Requirements
Good football knowledge.
Good knowledge of analysis and its applications.
Understanding of different pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning.

Terms of Appointment
37.5 hours per week.
20 days annual leave (rising by 1 day per completed year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 statutory bank holidays).
