Sutton Storm Basketball Club is a non–profit community basketball club attracting young people from the Sutton, Carshalton, Wallington and Croydon area of South London. The club was started in 2006, to create U18 basketball sessions for local teenagers with a passion for basketball.

Today, we run training sessions and teams competing in the Surrey Central Venue League at various age groups. We are looking for new coaches to help us grow and meet the demand as participation grows.

You will have a passion for basketball and will have Basketball England Level 1 & 2 coach awards or equivalent.

Role and responsibilities
1 – Planning and conducting basketball training sessions which take into account players current level of ability and strive to to improve this.
2 – Engendering a positive and fun environment in which to learn basketball.
3 – Being punctual and ready to start coaching at agreed times/places.
4 – Treating all players, coaches, officials, parents, administrators, volunteers and anyone else involved in the game with dignity and respect.
5 – Learn the strengths and weaknesses of the players so you can place them in situations where they have maximum opportunity to achieve success.
6 – Conducting training and selecting players for games so that all players in the squads have an opportunity to improve their skill level through active participation.
7 – Working to protect the health and safety of the players by ensuring that all activities under your control are conducted in the best interests of the players psychological and physiological wellbeing
