Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper, to assist with services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations & payroll. Role is open for negotiation on part time or full-time hours to suit the candidate but must be over 5 days.

Key Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Xero
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
  • Experience in BAS preparation
  • Committed and Self Motivated
  • Excellent communication skills

Duties include

Accounts Payable

  • Processing and entering of supplier accounts into Xero
  • Processing payments for suppliers including loading ABA into bank for payment
  • Contacting suppliers if any queries on invoices
  • Managing and collecting credit card receipts via Dext software for processing

Accounts Receivable

  • Processing any sales invoices as required
  • Managing debt collections through our external debt collection agency and keeping Xero and the client updated

Bank Reconciliations

  • Reconcile any payments or spend monies to appropriate sales invoices, bills or transactions

Payroll

  • Process any leave or timesheet requests
  • Process payroll including loading ABA file into bank for payment
  • Process superannuation

Other Tasks

  • Assistance with preparing Monthly Reports
  • Assistance with Month End Reconciliations
  • BAS reviews
  • Assistance with Budgets & Forecasting
  • Assistance with software implementation
