Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper, to assist with services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations & payroll. Role is open for negotiation on part time or full-time hours to suit the candidate but must be over 5 days.
Key Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Xero
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
- At least 2 years’ experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
- Experience in BAS preparation
- Committed and Self Motivated
- Excellent communication skills
Duties include
Accounts Payable
- Processing and entering of supplier accounts into Xero
- Processing payments for suppliers including loading ABA into bank for payment
- Contacting suppliers if any queries on invoices
- Managing and collecting credit card receipts via Dext software for processing
Accounts Receivable
- Processing any sales invoices as required
- Managing debt collections through our external debt collection agency and keeping Xero and the client updated
Bank Reconciliations
- Reconcile any payments or spend monies to appropriate sales invoices, bills or transactions
Payroll
- Process any leave or timesheet requests
- Process payroll including loading ABA file into bank for payment
- Process superannuation

- Assistance with preparing Monthly Reports
- Assistance with Month End Reconciliations
- BAS reviews
- Assistance with Budgets & Forecasting
- Assistance with software implementation
