Applications are invited from experienced and well qualified Rowing Coaches to coach the Boys’ 1st VIII Rowing Crew, for a 3-year appointment beginning in Term 2, 2023 on a part time basis. The hours for this role will vary across terms and will require weekend work. The role will be based at our Corio Campus in Geelong and involves water and land-based training.
The role reports to the Director of Rowing and requires the successful candidate to work closely with other Coaches and support staff within the Geelong Grammar School Rowing Program.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate success in coaching at an elite level with schools or clubs and should possess a minimum Level 2 NCAS Rowing Coach Accreditation. Competition experience as an oarswoman/oarsman is highly desirable. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Victorian Working With Children Card (Employment), a National Police Check and/or VIT Registration. It is also a condition of employment that Sports Coaches must have current Anaphylaxis Management Accreditation.
In accordance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic) (or similar legislation), Geelong Grammar School require all staff to provide evidence to the School that they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 (3 doses) or are otherwise medically exempt.
