Job Description
The Communications & Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the VIS Communications & Marketing Team reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager.
This Melbourne based role will manage the creation and implementation of all VIS digital content and social media plans. They will coordinate and develop social content for VIS, including, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok.
They will have experience, and enjoy, growing social media channels, engaging numerous stakeholder groups and tailoring content accordingly to specific channels. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in content management systems, web design and eDM creation & distribution.
As a member of a small but high achieving Communications & Marketing team, the Coordinator will also specialise in digital performance reporting, engaging online communities, and telling the VIS’ story in an authentic way.
Responsibilities also include creating and disseminating written and video content across platforms including social media, email and website updating. You ideally have content creation skills across the written word, basic graphics and video.
A successful candidate will be highly motivated to work in high performance sport and passionate about VIS’ motto of supporting athletes to succeed in life and sport.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Social Media technical skills across Meta products, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Twitter & YouTube.
- Solid knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (with emphasis on Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Demonstrated knowledge of content management systems, web design, search engine optimisation and web publishing
- Writing skills across a range of mediums including social media, eDM, articles and other business writing.
- Experienced at identifying, implementing and evolving best practice social media processes and platforms.
- Proven experience in measuring digital data and insights.
- An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Degree or certificate in Marketing, Digital media, or relevant field.
