Job Description
Are you passionate about working with adults (18+) to lead healthier lifestyles? Do you want to help decrease social isolation and loneliness in your local community? If so, you could be the perfect candidate to join our community delivery team.
We are currently recruiting Community Health Champions to work across our Health and Wellbeing programmes based in Lambeth, Merton, Hammersmith and Fulham, Wandsworth, and Kingston. These activities typically take place during the day on weekdays as well as some evenings and occasional weekends.
In this role, you will be delivering and leading walking football and chair-based physical activity sessions as well as socialisation sessions, typically working with vulnerable adults. You will develop relationships with our key partners and ensure our programmes are about more than just football.
We are looking for Community Health Champions with experience of working with adults in community and health care settings. You will also have a proven track record of ensuring the highest safeguarding and quality assurance standards are met.

Applicants should have experience working in community settings, preferably including working with people with mental health issues or long-term physical health challenges. You should have a desire to support adults improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
You should have one of the following qualifications:
Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training;
Or, Level 2 Chair-based Exercise Instructor;
Or, Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Clients with Long-term Conditions;
Or, FA Level 1 in Coaching Football
All applicants will be required to complete their FA Safeguarding Children Certificate and FA Emergency First Aid Certificate prior to joining.
