South East Melbourne Phoenix are an Australian professional basketball team and a member of the National Basketball League (NBL). Based in the South East of Melbourne, the Phoenix were founded in 2018 and debuted in the 2019-20 season. 

An efficiently run team with strong core values, our success is based on hard work, commitment and connection, with the Phoenix being well placed for future growth and ready to make our mark on the NBL competition.

About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will sell and promote a diverse range of SEMP corporate hospitality products, corporate suites and player sponsorship. This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic sales professional to join our team and become an integral part of the Club’s success.

Key accountabilities include, but not limited to:

• Successfully promoting and selling the Club’s hospitality products and corporate events
• Identifying and developing a new corporate clients and prospects
• Managing revenue targets, budgets and reporting
• Enhancing existing client relationships
• Overseeing the Club’s corporate hospitality website and digital marketing campaigns

This role will deliver match day support to the department at all home games. With weekend and evening work attendance during the NBL season.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success and significant experience in sales, business development and/or account management, supported by a tertiary qualification in marketing or business (highly advantageous). We will work closely with you to ensure you grow and learn in your role. 

You are resilient, determined, and self-motivated, backed by excellent communication and time management skills, plus strong attention to detail. You pride yourself on your stakeholder management skills and keeping everyone informed.  You have a good understanding of basketball and you are eager to learn and develop. .
