Job Description

What an amazing time to be part of the sport of Hockey!  On the back of a Gold and a Bronze medal at our home Commonwealth Games and looking ahead to the Paris Olympics in 2024, it really is an exciting time for the sport.  We are on a journey to transform the sport as we develop our new strategy, and work towards a more inclusive and accessible sport for all to enjoy.

We want to make sure that our workforce reflects the population and that everyone feels that England Hockey is a place where they can be themselves and thrive.  We offer flexibility to ensure we have the right fit for the role, the organisation and the individual.

We are keen to receive applications from candidates who can support our values, add to our culture, and bring in fresh perspectives and experiences.  We would particularly encourage applications from underrepresented communities.

The Development Team Manager will:

Lead and manage the ongoing development and delivery of all development projects and programmes, including project managing the development of a youth strategy for hockey.

Oversee the delivery of all projects and programmes across club, school and community environments to encourage a wide base of hockey participation.

Actively seek and secure external funding to support the delivery of development projects and programmes

Work closely with other managers in the development team and across directorates to ensure that the impact of the Development Team is maximised and is achieving agreed targets.
