The NRL Game Development & Participation team have an exciting opportunity for a Game Development Officer – Education (Brisbane South) to join the team! This position educates coaches and sports trainers in community rugby league clubs and schools to create a pipeline of accredited and capable coaches in the region. This role works closely with Game Development Officers, The Education Delivery Lead, The NRL Education team, Club Support Coordinators and League Operation Coordinators within their Area/Region and with peers across the state to promote and support best practice in Community Rugby League.
The team is responsible for growing the Sport, through programs, pathways and Education. The successful candidate for this role will be self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic about Rugby League. You will be passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives and growing the game of Rugby League.
In this role you will;
- Coordinate and deliver training and maintain accreditation programs for coaches and sports trainers
- Provide education development and compliance through strong administration and volunteer support
- Plan and deliver programs and initiatives to meet the defined objectives of the area
- Produce area reports and provide input into education programs
- Assist in the training and accreditation of staff in the area to meet NRL requirements
- Liaise with key stakeholders to facilitate their competitions and development activities
- Build and maintain exceptional relationships with community rugby league clubs, State leagues, National and State sporting agencies, NRL Clubs and schools and communities
Ideally your experience will include
- Relevant tertiary qualifications combined with experience in the sports industry which may include Junior Rugby League coaching, teaching, first aid and admin experience
- Experience in course delivery and facilitation
- Highly effective communication and relationship building skills
- Drivers Licence
- Current Working with Children credentials and a proven background of working with children
