Tennis Australia (TA) is one of the largest sport’s governing body, entertainment and sports rights-holder, and media production houses in Asia-Pacific. We are now looking for an Event Infrastructure Lead to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Delivery, in this role you will be responsible for the delivery of Event Overlay and temporary infrastructure for the Australian Open (AO). You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in designing overlay concepts and options, determine supply and scope requirements, manage supplier contracts to deliver infrastructure onsite all while ensuring that health and safety, building compliance and quality requirements for the Australian Open are met.
About the role
In this role you will;
- Collaborate with functional areas to manage the development of overlay requirements, providing expert infrastructure options for review and delivering to time, budget, and quality expectations
- Procurement of infrastructure and services in relation to the overlay scope and actively pursue world class infrastructure, working with suppliers to innovate
- Management of suppliers to ensure infrastructure and overlay is installed, operational, maintained and removed in accordance with predetermined readiness and hand back dates
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors to drive successful project outcomes
- Ensure all health and safety, building compliance and quality requirements are met
About You
What you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in related field desirable – Project and Construction Management/Building & Construction/Engineering/Architecture/Interior Design
- Strong understanding of overlay and large-scale event operational delivery processes is highly desirable
- Experience with temporary overlay suppliers, temporary infrastructure builds and POPE and VBA compliance process
- Ability to create construction/build timelines using knowledge of temporary overlay build sequencing
- Ability to write technical scopes for inclusion in the procurement packages
- Strong ability to direct design processes and interpret technical CAD drawings
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current and valid Police Check and Working with Children Check
