Job Description
The Swim England facilities team supports the provision of swimming facilities in England. We provide high level technical support throughout the strategy, design and build phase of new and refurbished swimming facilities. We also produce industry leading guidance notes on the design and operation of swimming facilities in England. The successful candidate will support the facilities team to influence the swimming industry to deliver Swim England’s strategy. This will be done through technical facility advice and consultancy.
We are seeking an experienced facilities officer to join our team on a full time basis, 35 hours per week. Where possible flexible working or job share requests will be considered. The role is Home Basedwith some travel.
This is an exciting opportunity working within the facilities team as part of a busy department responsible for ensuring a provision of aquatic space.
Reporting to the Head of facilities, you will be responsible for ensuring the Swim England strategy on water is delivered. To find out more about the role, download the full Job Description and Person Specification document.
The successful candidate must have:
Knowledge of the design & build process of swimming facilities
Knowledge of the operation and management of swimming facilities
Knowledge of the appropriate legislation, standards and guidance in
relation to the design, build & operation of swimming facilities
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence commercial
operators
The ability to produce contract reports and provide
recommendations
Proven ability to form relationships with a variety of external
partners at senior levels
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
