The Role:
The Finance Manager is responsible for playing a lead role in the financial and strategic management of Equestrian Australia (EA) to enable the long-term sustainability of operations.
This will be achieved through the following: –
- Developing and managing a best practice finance management to facilitate quality and timely service to the EA board, executive team, stakeholders and members
- Producing financial modelling, key financial analysis and information in support of business strategy
- Responsible for the Finance Management for EA including: –
- accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and forecasting;
- compiling financial reports in accordance with approved policies and procedures which meet statutory requirements;
- providing and interpreting timely and relevant financial information
- Developing and maintaining organisational/financial policies and making policy recommendations
- Business partnering with CEO, Senior Leadership Team, EA Board and Finance Risk & Audit Committee (FRAC)
- Developing and maintaining effective financial information systems, which meet the needs of the organisation
- Managing the National Insurance Program

Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or equivalent
- CA or CPA qualified
- Minimum 6+ years’ experience
- Sport industry knowledge is a plus but not essential
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Relevant experience and a proven track record in financial management
- Strategy support including analysis, insights and financial modelling
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
- Change management and process improvement
- Ability to cope with tight deadlines and multiple, competing priorities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
