Job Description
UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) is on a mission to protect clean sport and currently has an exciting opportunity available for you to join us.
We’re looking to recruit a Global Engagement Manager, joining the Education, Insight and Global Engagement directorate to play an active role seeking opportunities to further stakeholder communications by working across the organisation.

Job purpose
This is a pro-active role co-ordinating and putting into action UKAD’s stakeholder engagement plan for the organisation. You will be expected to use your knowledge of anti-doping and the sports landscape to seek opportunities to further stakeholder communications by working across the organisation and in particular the Head of Global Engagement.
Highly motivated and a strong ambassador for UKAD, this will be a great opportunity to work with colleagues on our key stakeholders to, understand their needs, feed back into the organisation and deliver what they need, whether that is information, briefings, meetings or events.
Key result areas include (but not limited to)
Stakeholder Management and Communications 40%
• Work with the Head of Global Engagement to put in place an annual stakeholder engagement plan
• Undertake a thorough stakeholder mapping exercise to understand the current strength of relationships and identify priority stakeholders and organise engagement accordingly as required
• Be a proactive, engaging and positive ambassador for UKAD using your own knowledge and developing your own relationships at appropriate levels with stakeholder organisations. Represent UKAD as appropriate on external working groups and at conferences
• Maintain an accurate database of stakeholder contacts and assist with the development of CRM as resources allow
• Assist with the planning for regional communication forums to support the assurance framework and other UKAD key processes
Stakeholder Communications 10%
• Work with the Communications Directorate to generate content as part of the development and production of a bi-monthly stakeholder e-newsletter aimed at National Governing Bodies and other key organisations in sport
• Work with colleagues to provide content to the UK Sport national and international newsletters
• Write briefings on key topics for parliamentarians, partners, and other key stakeholders on relevant issues
• Work collaboratively with members of the Communications Directorate to develop content for the UKAD website and or campaigns
• Support Chief Executive and Directors Team on stakeholder consultations as required.
• Coordinate external stakeholder survey
International Relations 20%
• Contributing to project development
• Contributing to papers and position statements
Athlete Commission 30%
• Provide the secretariat to the Athlete Commission and develop and implement a strategy to promote the work of UKAD to athletes and seek their feedback
• Any other reasonable tasks in line with the position

Qualifications/experience
• Experience of managing a workload effectively to meet set deadlines
• Experience of writing in an engaging and informative style
• Experience of working as part of a team
• Experience of producing a range of high-quality communications materials for websites, publicity, newsletters and reports
• Experience and understanding of a range of social media channels including how to segment and target different audiences
Skills
• Competent and proven writing and editing skills for a range of target audiences and channels
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communications skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to work with external partners and suppliers
• Ability to prioritise own workload to meet set deadlines
• Self-motivated and able to operate with minimal supervision
• Creative approach to work, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and use initiative in problem solving
• Strong team player with the ability to show understanding and sensitivity to others’ views and objectives and to support other team members as required
