Pentathlon GB has witnessed significant change and is facing into one of the most exciting opportunities in Olympic and Paralympic sport for any leader. From a new competition format for this cycle, delivering world leading performances across 5 sports in 90 minutes, to the integration of OCR (ninja style sprint obstacle racing) at Junior and Youth age groups ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games this is a real opportunity to lead, learn and develop alongside an ambitious team.

Acting as a member of the World Class Programme Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Performance Support will lead and manage an established team of practitioners capable of delivering world leading performance support to athletes and coaches, who are in pursuit of ever ambitious performances. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate they have highly effective leadership, management and performance planning skills in:  

*Comprehensive experience of how to design and develop world leading performance plans, working effectively with high performance sport coaches and practitioners

*Leading performance support services to achieve maximum impact. Ensuring full alignment of all activity across the WCP through an embedded Performance Planning and Individual Athlete planning process

*Deliver a culture of proactivity and empowerment, harnessing the strength of the team and it’s varied skillsets

*Performance strategy, specifically working with the Performance Director and Leadership Team to develop and implement a strategy that delivers against performance goals of Pentathlon GB
