Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Active Oxfordshire – whose purpose is to fight inactivity and tackle inequality – as a Healthy Communities Programme Coordinator.
The role:
This role is key to ensuring there are effective pathways into physical activity for older adults, people with disabilities and those with long-term health conditions and mental health challenges. You will get involved in coordinating the countywide physical activity pathway Move Together, alongside building strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
About you:
You will need to have experience in project delivery and management as well as having a strong understanding of the local landscape and networks in Oxfordshire. You will have experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary way across organisations and sectors, coupled with good organisational and interpersonal skills to enable you to work with others in partnership, and an interest in our cause.
What we offer:
This is a full time (40 hours per week), permanent position, although part time hours could be considered for the right candidate (minimum 4 days per week) and we are open to discussions about flexible working. You will receive a salary of between £26,000 – 29,000 depending on experience (pro-rata for part time). Benefits include a generous contributory pension scheme and 38 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.
Active Oxfordshire welcomes applications from all sectors of the community and actively encourage diversity to maximise achievements, creativity and good practice. We positively welcome and seek to ensure we achieve diversity in our workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment, regardless of age, race, gender, religion and sexual orientation, disability or nationality. We want all candidates to have an equal chance to shine in this process so please contact us if there is anything we can do to make sure the application process works for you.
