Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Position Type: Fixed Term position – 3 months
Location: Manchester
Salary: Competitive remuneration package
The PFA is currently looking for an intern who will assist in the improvement and management of its data systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that data is accurate, up-to-date and consistent across all systems. This role will involve working with various departments within the organisation to gather and analyse data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance data quality. The Data Management Intern will play a key role in supporting the PFA’s growth and development by ensuring that the organisation’s data is effectively managed and utilised.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with various departments within the organisation to ensure data is accurately and consistently entered into the system
Assist in identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and errors
Conduct regular data audits to ensure data quality and integrity
Conduct research to aid in the data entry process and enhance our current practices
Responsible for accurate and timely data entry into relevant systems and databases
Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date data records
Assist in the creation and distribution of data reports and analysis to relevant stakeholders
Provide support for ad-hoc data requests and projects as required
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations
Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to data management
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure their data management needs are met
Support The Chief Operating Officer on other matters relating to the Digital Transformation project
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good analytical and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good understanding of data protection and privacy regulations
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to learn quickly and take initiative
Adaptable and open to change
Approachable and low-ego personality
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Desirable
Experience of working in football or other sports
Knowledge of database management and data entry principles
Language skills
Experience or understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems – particularly Microsoft applications
Currently enrolled or have completed a degree in Data Science
