ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Manager will lead and contribute to a number of important AFL industry wide projects and initiatives. The role is responsible for building comprehensive plans and align departments across the AFL, and with key partners including Clubs, Government, Stadia, Broadcasters and Commercial partners to deliver objectives.  

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and contribute to industry wide priorities and projects that deliver strong growth and value for the AFL and AFL industry. These priorities include Gather Round, AFL Finals, AFLW Finals, Sir Doug Nichols round and other key initiatives 
  • Develop plans to take advantage of broad cross department growth opportunities, or challenges, across the AFL industry  
  • Lead and contribute to cross department meetings within the AFL, and with external partners, to execute plans that achieve objectives 
  • Align and integrate internal and external stakeholders to work towards common objectives 
  • Proactively seek out internal and external opportunities to add value to new or existing projects or workstreams 
  • Look for opportunities to harmonise workstreams across projects and initiatives to create synergy 
  • Coach and develop team members to maximise their contribution and personal development
