Job Description
We have vacancies to join our existing medical team of therapists, to increase the medical provision at Beaconsfield RFC. The club consists of 3 Men’s teams and several youth teams. The cover will be required for all 3 men’s teams on a Saturday and Colts on a Sunday with Tuesday/ Thursday training sessions.
Main role includes:
Attending training sessions; Tuesday/Thursday night (18.30 – 20.30) and Saturday/Sunday match day cover throughout the season (There ideally will be a rotation of therapist between the teams so there isn’t the demand for every weekend)
During training nights, activities include:
– Assessment of player injuries and proposed treatment plan.
– Treatment and rehabilitation programs as required
– Recording of treatment and assessment of each player at the end of every session.
Match Day duties include:
– Prep of medical kit before the game.
– Strapping and taping of necessary players.
– During game standing pitch-side attending first aid to injured players.
– Post-match treatment and recording of wounds and injuries.
Confidentiality of all player information is critical.
Essential:
– Qualification in BSc (Hons)/ MSc Sports Therapy/ Sports Rehabilitation /Physiotherapy or Osteopathy (Including massage and taping)
– First Aid qualified
– Pitch-side qualified (PHICIS Level 2 preferred)
– Liability Insurance
Preferred:
– Worked with a sports team previously
– Strapping and Taping experience
