Job Description
GreaterSport is the Greater Manchester charity committed to changing lives by inspiring a healthier future in Greater Manchester through moving more, sport and physical activity. We play a strategic leadership role in support of GM Moving, the Greater Manchester wide movement, for movement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing Active Partnership team working with a network committed to making a positive difference to the lives of Greater Manchester children & young people.
We are seeking to recruit a Project Support Lead, to provide valuable administrative and project support across the Active Children & Young People team.
To meet this challenge, you will support the Children and Young People (CYP) team in driving forwards its priority plan areas of work: Early Years, Active Education, Positive Social Outcomes, Youth Voice and Safe Spaces. You will provide strong administrative and project support, in addition to connecting internal and external colleagues to our work.
The Project Support role is an important role in supporting the delivery of several strands of work including, but not limited to:
• Opening Schools Facilities (OSF): Support the delivery and evaluation of OSF Phase 3 across GM.
• CYP Marketing & Communications: collating and sharing of stories, case studies, data both internally and externally.
• Active Lives Survey: Enable and support the roll out of the Active Lives Survey across GM.
• Administration, operational and financial support across CYP priority areas of work.
Ultimately, contributing to the overarching GM Moving shared ambition: Enabling Active Lives for ALL.
This is an exciting role, which will allow the successful candidate to gain a strong understanding of a whole systems approach to physical activity, across a number of projects, programmes and approaches within an Active Partnership.
We are called GreaterSport, but this doesn’t mean that you need to have a sporting background. We are looking for someone who loves working with people, someone who shares a passion in enabling active lived for all and who can work with others to help people connect, support and lead across sectors and organisations.
This is a full-time role, but job shares and reduced hours will be considered as part of our commitment to flexible working. Working days will predominantly be Monday to Friday, but occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
We have permanent office space in the National Squash Centre in Manchester, and regular team and co-working days in venues across Greater Manchester, blended with homeworking. We trust you to work in a way that suits you and that enables you to be productive and happy.
