About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a School Sports Coach to join our fun schools team. This role is offered on a casual basis to work at our YMCA Club in Central London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fun sporting activities to primary school children across central London. The main responsibilities include:
– The delivery of fun, innovative and engaging sporting activities
– Plan appropriate sessions across all age groups
– Ensure health and safety standards are always met
– Building positive relationships with parents and teachers
– Making sure that child progression is the focal point when delivering every session
– Helping out with one off sporting activities and events across the YMCA
– Collaborating with other team members across the YMCA where needed
Safeguarding responsibilities
This role will involve daily contact with learners, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
All staff and volunteers have a responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
– A high level of enthusiasm
– Good knowledge and understanding of different sports
– Have experience working across all age groups across the primary sector
– Good behaviour management
– Willing to adapt and be flexible when needed
– Willing to travel across central London
