Being active has never been more important and here at HDC we take the health of our communities seriously. We are on the search for someone who can support us in the delivery of sport and physical activity sessions for children, adults and disability groups on a part time basis until 30th September 2023.

A bit about us
The Sports Development team aims to support people to be active and improve both physical and mental wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. Customers of the service include the general public as well as organisations and groups such as Parish/Town Councils, Schools, Disability groups and Youth Service Providers.

A bit about you
With a proven knowledge of sport, play and physical activity programmes and qualified to a minimum level 1 National Governing Body of Sport Qualification or equivalent, you’ll support and deliver safe, fun, and creative sport, play and physical activity sessions for a wide range of user groups including young people, adults and disabled people of all ages.

With a background of working with young people and a proven track record of assisting activity sessions you’ll be known for your excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to lead and motivate user groups including young people.

As a natural networker, you’ll thrive in a team environment and be comfortable working autonomously on occasion, you’ll be approachable, adaptable, and genuinely care about the outcomes for your customers.

This is a tremendous opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our community so if you have experience of working with young people, adults or disability groups and have experience of assisting sports coaches with delivering sports or physical activity sessions for people then we’d love to hear from you!

This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
