Job Description
CORE PURPOSE:
• To manage the operational delivery of Bath Rugby matchdays, and other outdoor events at The Rec (Bath Rugby’s Stadium)
• Day-to-day venue operations and facilities management at The Rec
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. MATCHDAY
Manage the operational delivery of matchdays, including:
• Coordinate and oversee the build of all temporary infrastructure at the stadium, in preparation for matchday
• Create a matchday site plan
• Manage specific arrangements with contractors and suppliers
• Coordinate department activations
• Liaise with TV broadcast
• Oversee the delivery of outsourced mobile food vendors
• Respond to operational related customer complaints by email or telephone
Working closely with the Operations Director and Safety Officer, ensure a safe and well organised matchday, including:
• Ensure compliance with the Safety Certificate, Operations Licence, Bath Rec Ltd Lease and relevant Health and Safety Legislation
• Support in development and maintenance of the Operations Manual, including the Spectator Safety Policy, Crowd Management Plan, and Contingency Plan
• Provide all match relevant documentation including pre-event checks and site agreements
2. FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
• Proactive oversight of building maintenance across the Rec
• Oversee unexpected maintenance issues, to include arranging repairs
• Ensure proactive engagement with internal staff or external contractors to ensure that maintenance responsibilities are undertaken in a timely, cost effective and competent manner
• Lead a monthly Operational H&S meeting, and partake in a quarterly Tactical H&S meeting
• Take an active role in the compliant documentation of Health and Safety matters, to include:
– Health & Safety Policy
– Safe Systems of Work
– Recording of Risk Assessments
– Preventative Maintenance and Safety Schedules
– Fire Safety compliance
– Alarm and detection systems
3. OTHER
• Oversee delivery of all other events at The Rec across the calendar year
• Working with the Operations Director, project manage the East Stand (6000 seated stand) take down and reinstatement
• Line manage Stadium Operations Executive, Maintenance Team and (Matchday Only) Logistics Team
• Have active participation with stakeholders throughout the community, including SAG, BANES, Bath Rec Ltd
• Be an active member of the Club’s Accessibility squad seeking improvements for supporters with any form of disability
• Support the Operations Director in any other related responsibility
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
• Event Management experience in an outdoor venue environment
• Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail
Preferred
• IOSH / NEBOSH or other recognised Health & Safety / Crowd Safety training
• Facility management experience
