Job Description
Reporting to: Head of Performance
Work type: Full time + all matches. Hours are dictated by the training schedule, so applicant must be flexible
Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 per annum + superannuation + phone allowance
OVERVIEW
Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive Rugby League based strength, power, speed and agility programs in conjunction with the Head of Performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design of a speed modelling and development framework and deliver this for the NRL squad.
- Develop, implement, and analyse the development of strength and power programs for the NRL squad.
- Lead the coaching of Olympic Weightlifting derivatives, isometrics and plyometrics.
- Lead the delivery of bespoke speed and agility sessions for the NRL squad during their mid to late-stage rehabilitation, including the design of individualised training drills.
- Analyse and monitor data in relation to strength and power and speed and agility programs.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders including coaching staff, medical personnel and external providers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Exercise Science or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- ASCA Level 2 Pro Scheme Coach – Professional certification required or obtaining
- Current first aid certificate required
- Demonstrated experience of speed, agility, and acceleration coaching experience within elite sport
- Working knowledge of computer technology systems such as Microsoft Excel is desirable
- Working knowledge of Athlete Management Systems such as Teamworks, Eliteform and Smartabase programs is highly desired
AVAILABILITY
- All applicants must be flexible to work early mornings, and weekends as required, due to the nature of industry and role as hours are dictated by the training schedule
- Contract is fixed term, concluding 31 October 2025. Opportunity for extension will be communicated well before contract end date if applicable.
