Job Description
of current and future Nottinghamshire CCC and England cricketers.
Enable young cricketers to fulfil their potential by delivering high quality S&C across academy and pathways squads.
To be a key member or the Science & Medicine team and commit to contributing to the ongoing development of service for the benefit of the players and coaches.
Responsibilities
Providing high quality Strength & Conditioning (S&C) support to Nottinghamshire CCC’s Academy and Age Group players in line with the Science & Medicine team objectives.
Plan and deliver high quality S&C programmes following a structured Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model for all Academy players. Including education on physical preparation, nutrition and recovery.
Work collaboratively with the wider MDT to support academy and professional players health, wellbeing and performance goals
Work alongside County Age Group coaches to develop a physical literacy pathway for emerging players.
Lead on match day support during the Second XI and Academy fixtures, as well as for the 1st XI during the Royal London competition, as required
In conjunction with the Science & Medicine Team co-ordinate physical profiling of all Academy players and county age group.
Work collaboratively with the physiotherapist(s) and assist in the delivery of rehabilitation of professional or Academy players.
Work closely with schools and colleges within the County’s network to help support provision of Nottinghamshire CCC players’ physical development.
Undertake appropriate continuing professional development to keep abreast of best practice and current evidence-based research
Any other duties as requested by the Head of Science and Medicine, Head Coach, or Elite Pathway Manager
