Aqua Culture Swim is seeking a qualified and experienced Swim Coach to assist in the delivery of a full range of swimming programs at our new, state-of-the-art swimming program on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Programs include Learn to Swim, Development Swimming, Junior, Senior, and Adult Squads. The programs will be delivered in our purpose-built facility which includes an indoor 25 metre pool and a 15 metre Learn to Swim pool. The successful candidate must have a can-do attitude with a naturally happy, energetic and positive disposition.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Swim Coach will support the coaching staff in the organisation, promotion and implementation of the swimming programs including coaching, personnel management, and administration. As the Swim Coach, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coaching and planning of squad and development programs as well as contribute to the strategic development of Learn to Swim.
The Swim Coach will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong culture amongst the coaching team and work closely with parents and children to enhance the delivery of the entire program.
The preferred candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for swimming and the development of young swimmers, strong leadership and communication skills and a desire to deliver a program that is innovative and challenges current trends.
To secure this role you must have:
- Current Swimming Coaching Licence
- Current Senior First Aid & CPR
- Current drivers licence
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Experience managing all aspects of swimming programs: from learn to swim to age group development and competitive squads.
- Proven record of developing swimmers from beginner to proficient level
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and implement programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A knowledge of Surf Life Saving and water polo will be viewed favourably
In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills as well as excellent administration, computer and social media skills. The ability to think on your feet, show initiative and work both independently and as part of a team will also be highly regarded.
