Royal Life Saving NSW, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO: 90666), delivers Vocational Training programs throughout New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania. Job tasks and responsibilities
With Castle Hill as an office hub, this role will take you all over Sydney to a new group of students each day.
This is a full time role, spread across a 35 hour working week.
You will be joining a team of trainers who deliver training programs to a variety of clients across multiple industries. Each course brings about a new group of learners for you to train and assess in the areas of CPR & First Aid, Pool Lifeguard and Swim Teacher.
Perhaps you already have experience in education and training, or maybe you have experience within the aquatics industry and are passionate about sharing your knowledge an skills. If you are ready for a new challenge; why not enquire about joining our Team. Full training in course content will be provided, with mentoring and professional development offered along the way. While an ideal candidate may already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, full training will be offered to the right applicant if needed to bring you up to speed with the necessary qualifications.

Essential Skills and experience
- Current or prior experience within the aquatics industry (ideally as a Pool Lifeguard or Swim Teacher)
- Excellent communication, confidence and engaging presentation skills when addressing small and large groups.
- Ability to be flexible, agile, and cope in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate with multiple demographics.
- Enthusiasm and passion for sport and recreation activities.
- Contribute and bring value to a team environment as well as the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- NSW Working with Children Check.
- Intermediate computer skills (particularly Microsoft programs).
- Current NSW Driver’s License.
Desirable Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience in health promotion, education or community engagement.
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or higher qualification (training can be provided for the right applicant)
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Qualification
- Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Current Swim Teacher Qualification
- Experience in the VET Industry
- Trained in the Recognition and Management of Anaphylaxis Program (RAMOAP)
