Job Description
Melbourne University Boat Club is one of Australia’s leading high-performance rowing clubs. Established in 1859, MUBC has a long and proud tradition of providing supported opportunities for talented and ambitious athletes to succeed at the highest level.
MUBC works in partnership with Rowing Australia and Rowing Victoria’s Performance Pathways program to develop today’s potential into tomorrow’s success. The club continues to invest in supporting our athletes, recently renewing its boat fleet with the purchase of twenty new high-performance boats from leading manufacturer’s Filippi and Sykes Racing and expanding our rowing operations department to provide additional administrative and logistical support.
About the position
We are seeking an experienced coach to lead our successful Womens High Performance and Development programs for season 2023/24 and beyond. Recent history shows MUBC athletes consistently achieving multiple podium results at premier regattas with senior female athletes nominated to the National Training Centre. These achievements have delivered growth in program applications from talented school leavers and increased retention of experienced athletes. It is clear our athletes are forging a powerful dynamic and a new era of high-performance womens rowing is emerging. This has created a formidable coaching opportunity for a talented person to use their enthusiasm, knowledge and skills to drive the program higher. The successful candidate will work with our DIrector of Rowing and Head of High Performance at the historic Melbourne University Boat Club, Boathouse Drive, Melbourne.
