Job Description

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT REGIONAL MANAGER
Home-based
To cover: Central UK Regions
35 hours per week
Salary dependant on experience

We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Development Regional Manager to join our Youth Development team at the EFL. The successful candidate will support, guide, and monitor to enhance the level of operation of EFL Academies, largely within an allocated region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The main areas of responsibility include –
1. To provide support and guidance to, and monitoring of, Football League Academies, largely within the allocated region.
2. To support and guide clubs in the preparation for ISO audits.
3. To aid in the implementation of a Club’s Action Plan following ISO audit.
4. To undertake appropriate action plan, coaching observation, match observation, and other required assessments at clubs and compile associated reports including the Clubs Academy Reporting Document (or similar).
5. To ensure clubs are compliant with the rules and regulations of the Academy system.
6. To produce an Annual Report evaluating the provision and level of operation of each Academy.
7. To contribute to and organise club meetings and seminars as required.
8. To help promote and develop “best practice” amongst Academies within EFL clubs.
9. To liaise with other organisations involved in supporting Academies, particularly League Football Education, The Premier League, the Football Association, and the ISO.
10. To act upon any relevant issues identified at clubs within the allocated region.
11. To assist in the organisation and staffing of events as required which may include the U16 Assessment Trials, seminars, tournaments, and festivals.
12. To be the point of contact for parents raising issues connected to the Youth Development programme.
13. To help promote the EFL’s Youth Development programme.
14. To undertake any other duties as required by the line managers.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: –
1. Previous experience of working in a Youth Development environment within the Licensed Football Academy system under the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
2. Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages.
3. Experience of leading and facilitating meetings.
4. Good communication and presentation skills.
5. Excellent written, telephone and interpersonal skills.
6. Full Driving licence.
7. Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
8. Contribute to promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.

Safeguarding
This post requires Enhanced Criminal Records Checks and may include checks against the Barred Lists, as such it is exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974). Therefore, all convictions including spent convictions that have not been subject to filtering by the DBS should be declared.

3. Hold a UEFA A Licence or Advanced Youth Award.
4. Coaching experience.
